Class Schedule

    Introductory Level

The student learns the history, terminology, and techniques required for further instruction.  The one month program will integrate the basics of footwork and blade work.  Instruction is given one hour  twice a week beginning in the first week of the month.  After completion of the one month/four week program the student is evaluated and allowed to graduate to the intermediate level.

Next Session begins Monday November 3

Monday & Wednesday:    5 pm - 6 pm
Tuesday & Thursday:      4 pm - 5 pm

 

    Intermediate Level

The intermediate level is an ongoing 4 month program designed to further the knowledge and training of the student.  The program is designed to allow students from the introductory level to enter at any time.  The intermediate level focuses on the training of physical and mental techniques.  Instruction is given twice a week for 45 min with 30 min of footwork/conditioning immediately following. Students graduate to the advanced level after an evaluation.

Monday & Wednesday:    4:00 pm - 5:15 pm  or
                                    4:45 pm - 6:00 pm

Tuesday & Thursday:      4:00 pm - 5:15 pm  or
                                    4:45 pm - 6:00 pm

    Advanced Level

At the advanced level the student has begun competing in local and national competitions.  Instruction at this level is focused on distance, timing, situational tactics, and tournament preparation.  The student's instruction at this level may be supplemented with private instruction.

Foil/Saber
Monday & Wednesday: 7 pm - 8 pm

Epee
Tuesday & Thursday: 7 pm - 8 pm

Beginning Epee

Beginning epee is for students ages 10-14.  Instruction is given for the first 30 min.  Students are then allowed to free fence 45min and then participate in footwork at 4:45.

Monday Instruction: 3:30pm - 4:00pm
            Free Fence: 4:00pm - 4:45pm
            Footwork: 4:45pm - 5:15pm

 

Adult Beginners Class

Beginners class designed for adults to learn about fencing while receiving a great work out.  Students are taught the basics of fencing and exposed to all three weapons.  After class students are encouraged to remain and fence in open bouts. 

Saturday: 9:00am - 10:00am

 

Advanced Footwork

Advanced footwork sessions are designed to increase a fencers technique while building stamina, strength and flexibility in a fencer.  Sessions are open to all fencers and students after completing 4 months of intermediate level fencing.  Sessions are instructed 4 times a week for one hour.   Fees for sessions are included in monthly dues.
